Diesel

Whilst still in his teens, American born guitarist/singer Mark Lizotte was snatched from his Perth based band, The Innocent Bystanders’ and launched onto the Australian charts as the lead singer of Johnny Diesel and the Injectors. A star was born, and Mark was inevitably known as Diesel.

Diesel’s first self titled album was a mega-platinum success and earned him ARIA awards in the ‘Best Album’ and ‘Best Male’ categories. He is the only artist to be awarded ‘Best Male’ on three separate occasions. His albums ‘The Lobbyist’ and ‘Solid State Rhyme’, confirmed his status as one of Australia’s most unique and exciting recording artists.

Whether it is solo, acoustic band, electric or with a quartet of strings, Diesel has his own unique sound and style. His show combines each of these individual playing styles which combine to make an encompassing diesel experience.
