Crime Time - Symphony at the Movies

Crime Time - Symphony at the Movies

Relive the most spine-tingling moments in cinema performed live by the Sydney Symphony.

Australia’s favourite ex-pat, Clive James, and the full force of the Sydney Symphony investigate some of the most spine tingling moments in the history of cinema music.

Would The Godfather saga be as electrifying without Nino Rota’s unforgettable score? The mournful music for Don Corleone is as much a part of the character as Marlon Brando’s performance. At the other end of the spectrum, Franz Waxman’s opulent score for Hitchcock’s melodrama Rebecca provides gothic glamour.

Hear the music as never before – performed live –as Clive James, the Sydney Symphony and renowned film-music specialist Frank Strobel go to the movies.
